Comparative form
- Comparative adjectives are used to compare differences between the two people, objects or things.
- The adjective in the comparative form is usually followed by the word than.
Spelling
- Adjectives which end in -e = take -r
e.g.: large ---> larger
- One-syllable adjectives which end in one vowel + one consonant = double the consonant and take -er
e.g.: big ---> bigger
- Adjectives ending in consonant + y, change the y to i and take -er
e.g.: happy ----> happier
